Document covering 1819-67 refers to 'all those five messuages… adjoining together near the middle of Keyford St, with the houses adjoining the street on the SW of them, and stretching 59 ft along the street, garden ground behind, 23p, and the well behind shared by all five properties. SE of the fifth is the Crown Inn. Occupiers: Jesse BULTER, John WALLIS, John WILKINS, James MORGAN, George MORGAN, Mary PARSONS.

Victorian refronting of older large house, formerly with extensive garden to the side.

 

 

 

Plot first built on between 1744 and 1813. Single property, dwelling and adjoining workshop in 1813.

Large building on site of No.21 demolished between 1813 and 1840 and replaced with Regency terrace. Low doorway is passage entrance to give access to well at rear. Outhouse behind No.21 said to have been a forge for a time, where horses from the nearby Cooperage were shod.
